Remodeling your Lake Tahoe Home, and why to hire Spirit Interior Design

Spirit Interior Design offers a uniquely honest management of the design process. Our design team tenders to our customers by offering on site involvement with contractors, families, and clients. So often, in the beautiful Lake Tahoe region, our client’s are unavailable for onsite appointments. Knowing this, Spirit Interior Design provides onsite weekly updates in order to create a design that is both on time and in budget.
Working with Spirit Interior Design’s award winning team of designers will ultimately save money and time as we are skilled at allocating resources wisely, eliminating decorating mistakes, and generating a creative product for every design.
Spirit Interior Design recommends observing the following elements when beginning a remodel
Prepare yourself – Decide on a budget, and be very clear to the Spirit Team what the budget is (everyone has one). Listen to all ideas, but never go against your heart.
Finances – No one likes sticking to a budget, but everyone has one. Be conservative. Plan a project with goals and phase-in purchases over a few months or years if necessary. Spirit Interior Design can work on a flat fee or on an hourly basis. Make sure you’re very clear on exactly how you would like to be charged. We always start by asking you for a retainer of $1000 which is held aside until the end of the project. When the project is coming towards the end, you may ask to apply this account to the final payment. When purchasing merchandise we always ask for a 75% deposit, and 25% before delivery, and purchases are discounted 25% off of retail. Design Fee’s are billed Monthly, whether it is a flat fee percentage or hourly
Getting the Design You Want - The more information you can give to the Spirit Designers the more efficient the process. Looking back at the beginning pictures and seeing how we were able to create your dream results in fulfilled happiness. Your needs, your preferences, and your hopes can be conveyed in both words and pictures. Collect photos from Magazines of rooms, furniture and color schemes you like, and use these to illustrate your ideas. This will give the Spirit Interior Designers a place to start in creating a design specifically for you. (Make an extra set of color copies if needed.) In addition, make your own project design binder to get yourself organized.
