Therese was accepted to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, to study advertising illustration and photography. On a break from college she and her husband took a ski trip to Lake Tahoe and they decided it was where their hearts were and never left. During her 30 years in Tahoe Therese readily took on any new challenge, quickly proving her leadership abilities and in turn learned her skill set she now embodies. Before joining the team at Spirit Therese worked as a project coordinator – supervisor for a custom home builder. Over these years Therese had the pleasure of working alongside renowned architects, clients, designers, engineers, and sub contractors on many custom lake front homes. Along with her 25 years of retail experience as a GM, buyer and merchandiser, Therese brings a diverse specialized set of talents to Spirit Interior Design and Gallery. Her intuitive diplomacy helps maintain balance, harmony and efficiency on any job site or retail environment. Enthusiasm, innate sense of style and positive attitude allow Therese to gain confidence of the clients while she is assisting the Spirit team in orchestrating every detail of their project, allowing their dream home to come to fruition.
Giving back has always been an essential part of Therese’s beliefs and she has done so in her community by working with the team at the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe. While working within the ski industry Therese held many benefits for Disabled Sports USA, Far West. Therese works tirelessly giving back to the ABTA and CFF, both of which hold special meaning to her.
Growing up in Laguna Beach, California made being outside second nature to Therese. Spending quality time with her husband and dog either skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating, hiking or simply time at the lake renews her spirit. Therese always has her camera in tow to record the ever changing magical beauty of Tahoe that she never tires of.
